The following is a list of international qualifications or certification examinations that the CPRB has assessed, to date. Not all are equivalent in nature and content to New Zealand qualifications and training programs - those in bold are generally accepted as equivalent to NZ qualifications, but may not, on their own, be sufficient for unconditional registration. Applicants holding these qualifications may be awarded Registration with or without Conditions. Applicants with qualifications not on this list are considered on an individual basis, and are more likely to be awarded Registration with Conditions, e.g. passing a Practical Competency Assessment within 3 months of employment in New Zealand.
Certification: CPRB does not recognise any qualification unless the applicant submits a certified copy - this means a copy is made of the original document, and presented to a Justice of the Peace, Solicitor, Public Notary or similar with the original document. The certifier stamps the copy with their official stamp, and signs the copy, attesting that it is a true and unadulterated copy of the original document.
